7-time NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson threw the ceremonial first pitch at Petco Park Monday night. He could have visited his San Diego Hall of Fame plaque in the Western Metal Building -- except for the fact that he wrongfully hasn't been inducted. How wrong is that?

@billcenter @JimmieJohnson Well, after the 2027 Daytona 500, he won't be driving anymore. Let me know how/if I can help after that. This needs to happen. I was in El Cajon for Jimmie Johnson day in 2014, when they dedicated 'street' signs. That's about all I can remember.

@48_dominates @JimmieJohnson Many times. The excuse I get is that he's still driving. They don't understand he is no longer competing regularly. Plus, there arw golfers and yachtsmen in the Hall who were inducted long before they stopped competing. He's in every Hall but this one. Indefensible stupidity!
