"Spasm of insanity" is a comforting fiction. All of it is being taught to millions of schoolchildren as the only truth and being embedded into medical protocols and intake forms across the whole of the education, health, and social welfare apparatus at every level without constraint.

There is no need for overtly disruptive campaigns of personal destruction in visible industries because the end to which those campaigns was directed has been attained. Where it defines the contours of social and professional reality, none dare call it a spasm or insanity. It is not. It is simply the world as it is dictated by the powers authorized to determine the world as it is.

I think what talrico says is actually a pretty uncommon idea among orthodox Christians - maybe the most generous version is that some thinkers may say something like: all religions have a piece of truth or are an attempt to reach the truth, but the fullness of truth is only found in Christianity
