Most Sikhs are NOT Indians
They are Punjabi, and their Sikh homeland was destroyed by the British Empire. The historic Sikh Empire (1799–1849) spanned roughly 520,000 km², an area comparable to modern-day France.
After the World War 2, many “nations” got divided: Punjab, Germany, Korea
Punjab became Charda and Lehnda (east and west), Germany became East and West, and Korea became North and South.
Germany got unified, but I don’t see Punjab or Korea will ever get united again.
When you visit DMZ (I visited last year), you see and read same stories what happened during the partition in 1947. Families thought that they would come back to their homes, got separated and never got united again.
If people are telling Sikhs to go back, where?
Their homeland was destroyed by the British Empire, and they were recruited to the army to fight THEIR World War.
WW1-2 were not Sikh wars, BUT Sikhs still spilled their blood for them.
What are they getting in exchange?
Racism from the kids, whose parents were saved by Sikh Soldiers.
It’s time for Sikhs to stop justifying their rights.
They could even wear a Turban with a print of UK 🇬🇧 or Canada 🇨🇦 flag, their kids will never be accepted by many in those countries.
I am alarmed by the recent reports of surveillance allegations linked to foreign interference and transnational repression of a former leader of a major political party. Safeguarding our democracy and upholding transparency are essential.
I urge a comprehensive investigation.
"India targeted a Canadian politician on Canadian soil, that's an act of war"
Watch Balpreet Singh's opening statement from today’s press conference held on June 12, 2025, held on behalf of a coalition of Sikh organizations, including the Ontario Gurdwaras Committee, BC Gurdwaras Council, Sikh Federation of Canada, Quebec Sikh Council, and the World Sikh Organization of Canada. This is in response to revelations that a suspected agent of the Indian government was actively surveilling Jagmeet Singh during his tenure as an MP and federal party leader.
The Sikh community is outraged by these developments and deeply concerned by the federal government's conciliatory stance toward India. In response, Canadian Sikh organizations have issued three key demands: a public inquiry into India’s transnational repression, an end to all intelligence-sharing agreements with India, and concrete measures to safeguard the rights and security of Canadian Sikhs.

Horrible response. It’s not a partisan issue.
Get the damn clearance and purge your party of the turncoats.
Your press release makes you sound like a whiny brat.

Today's Malton Nagar Kirtan, which is the largest in Ontario, included an exhibit on Khalistan from the Never Forget 1984 Museum.
Rare items and artifacts included the Khalistan passport and currency, as well as belongings of Shaheeds.
Approximately 200,000 Sikhs attended the Malton Nagar Kirtan in 2023, as per city officials, with similar numbers expected this year as well.
Remember these points:
1⃣ The Bishnoi Gang is believed by Sikhs to be associated with the Govt of India
2⃣ Bishnoi himself is a self-described Hindu & Indian Nationalist
3⃣ The Indian Intelligence-Criminal Gang nexus is real, & was laid out clearly in the US Indictment too
You know what the difference is between the noble Sikhs & the loser Hindu Nationalists?
Canadian Sikhs put up a $10k reward for info re: Mandir vandalisms.
Hindu Nationalists? $0
Don't even have CCTV footage as cameras magically stop working. No leads. Same pattern globally.
So, I'm sorry @SuhagAShukla, but the only ones taking serious concrete and public actions to figure out what's going on in order to bring about justice are Sikhs.
Even the request for information that got us the Queensland Police Report, which disclosed the police theory of Hindus being behind the vandalisms in Australia, was requested by a Sikh too.
You Hindu Nationalists keep playing the victim card. You're very good at it. Us Sikhs will seek justice in the meantime - just like our history, which y'all try so hard to co-opt, teaches.
A siropa?
Quite disappointed that my local Gurudwara (an historic one at that), decides to do this. Not entirely sure why @vicpd was there for the photo op, considering the ongoing @rcmpgrcpolice investigation into Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s murder and Canada pointing the finger at India, as well as recent revelations that consulates have been actively surveilling and harassing Canada’s Sikhs.
As Sikhs stand in Chardi Kala in the face of Indian transnational repression in the diaspora, this memorial at Gravesend's impressive Gurdwara is an apt reminder of what Shaheedi means to us as a people.
"Physical death I do not fear. Death of conscience is a sure death."
BREAKING | Qatar has announced the death penalty for eight Indian ex-navy officials allegedly accused of spying, as per reports.
The shocking verdict comes as global scrutiny increases on Indian foreign interference, including the assassination of a Canadian on Canadian soil.
While the details are still not fully public, Indian media has reported that the eight men were "decorated officers" and have experience commanding "major Indian warships."
Indian media also reports that the alleged Indian spies worked for a private firm that provided training to Qatar’s armed forces and security agencies.
Today we remember the tragic suicide of our brother Vijay Singh, who had hung himself after being victim to continuous racial bullying.
Bullying still continues to this present day which affects students of all ages.Attached to this post are 2 examples of recent interventions
