@NS_PublicWorks Posted speeds of 50kph on our neighborhood streets shows no care for our children. Then to suggest that is is OK to drive at this speed is placing drivers above pedestrians. Posted speed is a maximum meaning under ideal conditions. Our residential streets will never be ideal.
@HfxRegPolice It is also illegal to drive too fast for conditions. The posted speed is the maximum not a target! 50kph in our neighborhoods is reckless!
@safe_hrm Small step for the city, giant step towards attitudes towards active transportation. The cost will be an investment with great returns in mental and physical health.
@safe_hrm Pressing the walk button should stop all traffic from crossing over the crosswalk. Some Drivers feel they are excused when they say "I didn't see him". Let's eliminate the risk.
@safe_hrm@Saazuka "Make eye contact" is an over used talking point that is always put on the pedestrian. Yes make sure there is an indication and action shown by the driver. But STOP this unrealistic statement of seeing a drivers eyes!
@ShareTheRoadNS "Make eye contact" is an over used talking point that is always put on the pedestrian. Yes make sure there is an indication and action shown by the driver. But STOP this seeing eye balls! It can't be done!

@safe_hrm Right on Red still requires you to stop first before the crosswalk and the wide solid line. This driver is in a rush to go nowhere. I also feel that drivers should not be permitted to turn left crossing a crosswalk while the walk light is on.
