@wildbob420@ShroomToaster@Loomin_Knotty@lilgustaffson the thing is that we simply are not underachieving, the media makes our players out to be the second coming of pele but really weve only got like 3/4 good-great class players and “captain america” hasn’t scored in 2026, i do agree that we should’ve gotten marsch instead of poch
@wildbob420@ShroomToaster@Loomin_Knotty@lilgustaffson all he does is blabber about how good the usmnt is and talk mindless garbage about every other team because he doesn’t actually watch the sport, if you want actual american representation of former players who watch the sport tim howard and clint dempsey sure know more than him
@wildbob420@ShroomToaster@Loomin_Knotty@lilgustaffson tell me where is the politics in this statement, in a country where you have to pay to play a sport (that in every other country is THE poverty sport) where are you going to get real talent and interest in the sport? you’re cutting out a large chunk of your potential superstars
@wildbob420@ShroomToaster@Loomin_Knotty@lilgustaffson alexi lalas is no more than a mouthpiece for the ussf and their belief that making absurd amounts of money matters more than growing the sport, which is THE JOB of the ussf
@wildbob420@ShroomToaster@Loomin_Knotty@lilgustaffson the sport in every single other country in the world is supported by the clubs, mls and many usl clubs have the money to support youth getting into the sport and yet they do not they only care about making money and not actually growing the sport, much like the ussf
@wildbob420@ShroomToaster@Loomin_Knotty@lilgustaffson here he is directly disagreeing with the idea that its current setup is a rich kids sport and supporting the us “fa”s decision to not financially support growing youth, this has been a long standing issue and it still is today and yet he thinks the parents should pay
You want free soccer. Great. But who's going to pay for all this free soccer? What about lessons from a teacher (coach) in piano, dance, math etc? Should that be free? All sports have costs, but calling American soccer a "rich kid" sport is simply not true...it's antiquated.
