Today I revised JWT authentication 🔐
Started with the basics:
JWT = JSON Web Token
I understood how jwt.sign() creates a token and how jwt.verify() checks whether the token is valid.

The raw token is sent to the user, while only its hash is stored in the database.

This way, a database leak doesn't directly expose the usable token.
