I'm hearing from many of my ex-colleagues that working in a PSU banks right now is extremely stressful..

Banking work culture has gone from better to worse. Once was treated as a respected profession to now become a target-driven culture.

Daily morning calls for 30–60 minutes.

Daily evening performance reviews for nearly 1-2 hours.

Targets., Follow-ups, etc..

If employees spend 3+ hours every day in calls about speaking targets, when exactly are they supposed to do the actual work and how the productivity will increase?

Branch Heads and officers are under constant pressure to perform which is taking a serious toll on their well-being.

No human values.
No work-life balance
No ethical responsibility.

Everyone at the top wants to safeguard their skin for their own position and secure the next promotion. So, they automatically putting the pressure down the hierarchy to any extreme.

A bank is not a call center where employees can be pushed endlessly until a number is achieved.

They too are humans. You can't build a sustainable business by destroying the people who runs it.

This constant pressure cannot be ignored anymore. We are seeing many employees taking their own lives due to this pressure, and management needs to seriously look into what is happening on the ground.

Targets are important.
Business is important.
But no target is more important than a human life.

In the last 2 days I have met around 100 officers of our bank in purnea and siliguri circle almost all are disappointed with Sunday working on 27/09/ 26 and subsequent strike being called off from 28 sep .they all were so determined and so excited to go on 3 days strike for 5 days banking week.the expected participation was so massive that management was hardly in a position to open 10 pc of branches in these 2 circles with scale 4 officers deployment.
So naturally all are unhappy with their union leadership barring our comrades who were proud of our federation decision not to work on Sunday and walking out of AIBOA and ufbu in response to ufbu mid night call to withdraw strike after making bankers to work on sunday.even other officers association members were appreciative of our stand.

We have been informed that several male Delhi Police officers are allegedly GROPING women protesters.

This is unprecedented and activists who have taken part in hundreds of protests in last many decades have NEVER seen this kind of behaviour from the police’s side.

Last time, the Delhi Police resorted to immense brutality, breaking skulls and fracturing bones of peaceful protesters.

Is the plan this time to molest women who have been leading these protests? Just because you can’t break open their skulls? IT’S A BIG SHAME and a matter of GRAVE CONCERN.

At the same time, we have been informed that lady police officers are being instructed to allege harassment by male protesters. You will see some such videos circulating.

NEVER has any peaceful protester resorted to violence against the police. NEVER have they resorted to such cheap tactics against any woman, forget lady police officers.

This is a clear-cut attempt to malign peaceful protesters, the movement, and the young generation. It is utterly condemnable. @CPDelhi—tell us. Are these the instructions you are giving to your “brave” men? To molest women? Is this the instruction from Amit Shah?

WE WILL NOT ACCEPT THIS.

The Police is paid by OUR money. We the people are the masters. I would urge all protesters to stay vigilant and film these Police men seen groping or molesting women protesters.

Together, we will hold them to account and make an example out of such perverts in uniform.

Bankers are NOT ROBOTS. They are human beings who need food, rest, dignity and respect.

Yes, customers deserve excellent service. But that does NOT give anyone the right to shout, insult or publicly shame a banker—sometimes for no genuine reason, simply to satisfy their ego.

Bankers are expected to behave like humans with customers. The same humanity must be shown towards bankers.
