@bennysweens@ambrose_pike@strxwmxn@coldxman@ComicDaveSmith It’s not disingenuous at all. He is being paid to express his pre-existing views not someone else’s - just like other opinion writers - he is not being paid to express someone else’s view which is what a lobbyist does.
It was good to see @newswatchbbc cover my story this morning and thank you @SamiraAhmedUK for presenting it. The piece focused in particular on the headline the BBC News website put on its report of my settlement, which appeared to question its size.
Watching, though, I was surprised to hear the BBC's statement that BBC News "cannot independently verify" the amount of the payment to "Ms Kon" (that's me).
If BBC News wanted to verify the size of the settlement, or any of its other terms, all it needed to do was ask. That includes the non-financial remedies, such as the agreement to restore my name to the end credits of the Oscar and BAFTA-winning @MrNobodyAgainstPutin and the other films it had been removed from. I would have been happy to share the relevant sections of the agreement. The BBC lawyer who signed it, as I did, might also have been able to help.
On Monday, an hour or two before the report was published, a senior BBC journalist called me about the story and the overall settlement. He asked if he could record the call, I agreed, and my recollection is that we discussed the details.
I don't want to dwell on this. I don't want to spend the rest of my life arguing with a former employer I still believe it was a privilege to work for. My focus now is to take what I've learned from all this, move on, find a new role and rebuild my life.
As I do that, I hope the BBC will heed this week's calls to do the same: to learn from my experience; to acknowledge the need for, and set up, an independent inquiry into not only how it treats its Jewish staff but how it reflects its Jewish audiences; and to move into a new Charter with commitments that are kept, so that in its second century the BBC is truly for everyone, its staff and its audiences alike.

@bennysweens@ambrose_pike@strxwmxn@coldxman@ComicDaveSmith So he held the views before the getting the job to express those views, which is what I said: he is being paid to express his own views. So if he is a lobbyist, it is for his own opinion. Disagree with him as much as you like but it’s false to claim he’s only saying it for money.
I actually wanted to write a post about how tired I am of seeing COMIC Dave Smith being invited onto all these different podcasts and shows when he so clearly suffers from intellectual ineptitude.
I genuinely struggle to understand why someone who repeatedly demonstrates such a poor grasp of the subjects he speaks about continues to be treated as some sort of serious political commentator.
But maybe I was wrong to complain, because there's something incredibly satisfying about watching someone like @coldxman run circles around Dave.
The difference in intellectual proficiency is almost comical.
Must watch and laugh on the imbecile @ComicDaveSmith and The legend and the incredible @coldxman ,, worth listening and sharing , I put part one yesterday now part two 😁
How many more platforms will keep giving @ComicDaveSmith a microphone to recycle the same anti-Israel arguments?
For years, we’ve heard the accusations: genocide, apartheid, Israel controlling America, Israel controlling Trump and the Israel lobby supposedly dictating US foreign policy.
And anyone who disagrees is apparently paid, bought or working for Mossad.
I’ve had enough of this narrative, which we also hear from Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens and others.
October 7 was not an abstract political debate. Real people were murdered, women and children suffered, families were shattered and hostages were taken. Their experiences deserve to be heard, not constantly pushed into the background of arguments against Israel.
Two people I particularly respect for challenging Dave’s arguments are @DouglasKMurray and @coldxman (Coleman Hughes).
Different debates, same willingness to demand evidence, challenge assumptions and ask difficult questions.
Coleman, thank you for doing it again.👏👏🙏🇮🇱🇺🇸
Watch, listen and share. Enough of the conspiracy theories. Debate facts, not fantasies about Israel controlling the world.
Like always you are pathetic not comedian enough @ComicDaveSmith 🤣💣😂
@ItalianPointers@tylerjanke@coldxman@ComicDaveSmith The pattern, the pattern … you can see it, it must be there, right? You really believe it so it must be true. You had better check under the bed and always sleep with one eye open from now on: the lobby will find those who know its secret power 🤣🙃
Israel Lobby Debate: @coldxman lists the times U.S. presidents said no to Israel and says Israel-lobby theorists never test their thesis against counterexamples. - @ComicDaveSmith
@magpiesaid@ambrose_pike@strxwmxn@coldxman@ComicDaveSmith You find it depressing that not everyone agrees with you? You would prefer a world where yours is the only valid opinion? Try life in Russia, China, North Korea or Iran (if not already there) - that’s how they see things, too.
@ambrose_pike@strxwmxn@coldxman@ComicDaveSmith He’s not paid to hold one view or another. He’s paid to present his own views because, unlike you, he uses logic to support his analysis and people find it interesting. People who disagree with you are just being rational, no lobby required - but you wouldn’t understand that.
Araujo's agent told WinWin: "Ronald is doing well, we are very happy with what he is offering, but it is still too early to talk about his future at the moment."
The Uruguayan player's agent added, explaining his client's position on his current experience at Anfield: "He feels very good, he is happy to play for Liverpool and happy to help the club and his teammates, just as he has already said."

Ronald 🗣️“I’ve never been loved this way before, Liverpool really is where every player will want to be, the fans make you forget so easily about the past.”
“Few months ago last season I lost my happiness but Liverpool today fixed it and am willing to sacrifice myself for their happiness, the fans deserve even more than this and it’s just the beginning.”
It’s a long season to run.
The Harvard professor who debated Hillel Neuer on whether the UN treats Israel equally asked that no clips be shared.
So Hillel respected that.
He posted all 58 minutes instead.
When your side of a debate only wins if nobody sees it, you already lost the debate.
