@Oregonian I am an RN with many years of quality/regulatory experience. I have looked at working as an inspector, but the paycut I would take is absurd! WA state pays better than OR.

The state/feds r the largest payers via Medicare/caid
The state has enforcement powers given by legislature.
The rules are written by CMS
There would be lots of inspection variation if multiple teams provided oversight
