This week, I joined MPP @tylerallsoppPC and Councillor Barb Enright-Miller to proudly announce a #BuildingFasterFund cheque of over $1.2 million to #Belleville. In 2025, the city exceeded their housing target by almost 35%, while also breaking ground on 418 new homes.

Far too many Ontario residents are struggling to find homes they can afford and get the help they need.

That is why I joined Federal Housing Minister Gregor Robertson, Mayor Olivia Chow and Build Canada Homes CEO Ana Bailão, to announce that we are partnering with @UHN to deliver new supportive housing units in Toronto’s Parkdale community.

Our government is providing up to $2.6 million in annual operational funding for Dunn House Phase 2. It will integrate primary care, mental health supports, and community services, positioning residents for success.

Jean Lépine, Administrator and Acting CEO, Real Estate Council of Ontario, was warmly received when he spoke at Ottawa Real Estate Board @OREB1's Housing Symposium about the eight transformation initiatives that will drive RECO’s focus for 2026. Great questions were raised that align with the desire for greater collaboration going forward.

Jean emphasized that RECO will reconnect with both consumers and the real estate sector, prioritizing collaboration to achieve this ambitious transformation agenda.

OREA’s GRC Chair was pleased to attend the @ROMA_Ont conference, bringing together municipalities across rural Ontario to discuss initiatives the ON Government can implement to strengthen their communities, invest in key infrastructure, and build more homes for families.

Following OREB’s Housing Symposium, Jean Lépine, MBA, Administrator and Acting CEO, Real Estate Council of Ontario, led a roundtable with brokerage leaders. The group provided feedback and insights on opportunities for improvement and possible implementable solutions in the real estate sector on important topics such as trust account reform.

We look forward to more meaningful stakeholder engagement like this in the months to come.
