The AI Networking Market Set to Surpass $200 Billion.
This week, @drivenets announced its latest round of funding as it continues to drive the #AI Fabric market with heterogeneous, full stack solutions at scale.
Read about it here in our latest blog!

@DriveNets raises $410M as AI infrastructure shifts toward open Ethernet, multi-vendor systems and heterogeneous AI.

As I said in today’s announcement: AI networking is on track to surpass $200B by the end of the decade.
Why it matters: the network is becoming the economic control point for AI. GPU utilization, cluster bring-up time, tokens per watt and cost per token increasingly depend on the fabric underneath.
DriveNets enters this phase with tier-one service provider reliability, a validated AMD reference design and inventory positioned for a supply-constrained market.
Dropping a deeper-dive blog tomorrow on what this means for AI fabrics and next-gen AI infrastructure.

Kelly Peralta of @gateworkscorp, US-based manufacturer who sells worldwide spoke about the differences between using HaLow in the EU and the US, concluding that HaLow is still the best in Europe (despite stringent regulations). She also said order intake is ‘crossing the chasm.’

pitched its HaLow mesh capability and specific verticals: building management (think HVAC, door locks, lighting), energy (solar management, pipeline anomoly detection), and retail (like Electronic Shelf Labels and inventory management). About mesh: I was blown away when that the company has demonstrated a mesh 37 deep to 100 kbps. Or in a different scenario, a repeater setup along a highway, could potentially reach ‘forever,’ assuming there are numerous repeaters.

James Chen of MediaTek (at the Wi-Fi NOW show today) showed how the company’s Wireless-Fi 8 platform has demonstrated its DSO capability, which leverages an ‘old’ Wi-Fi 6 smartphone using an early version of its own Wi-Fi 8 smartphone to get superior throughput. The idea here is that MediaTek Wi-Fi 8 can do-exist with older Wi-Fi types to get better throughput.

Marvell brought its largest ever booth to @ofcconference 2026 in Los Angeles, and the energy on the show floor reflected just how fast AI infrastructure is moving.
Across the week, the Marvell team hosted nearly 200 meetings and dozens of demos, with technology featured across more than 90 partner and customer demonstrations throughout the show. Highlights included an interoperability demonstration with @Lumentum on optical circuit switching for next-generation AI infrastructure, a showcase of the RELIANT platform for real-time connectivity analytics, and continued innovation across 1.6T, active electrical cable and coherent technologies, as well as Structera PCIe and CXL platforms. Marvell executives also participated in panels at the Optica Executive Forum, covering scale-up and scale-out data center networks and the road ahead for AI infrastructure.
The best is still ahead.
The lack of trust in you AI agents will equate to lack of market share you can capture as a company, implies, Jeetu Patel @jpatel41, President & Chief Product Officer, @Cisco during his Monday evening keynote ‘Reimagining Security for the Agentic Workforce’ from the main keynote stage at #RSAC2026 in San Francisco.

Marvell has been recognized for two key optical connectivity innovations in the 2026 @lightwaveonline Innovation Reviews.
The 1.6T silicon photonics light engine and the active copper cable linear equalizers each received a 4.0 outstanding honoree rating for delivering clear technical advantages in performance, power efficiency, and system integration.
The 1.6T light engine provides eight lanes of 200G PAM4 optical connectivity in a single package and is purpose‑built for AI scale‑up, supporting future CPO architectures. The ACC linear equalizers extend copper reach while maintaining ultra‑low latency, offering a practical on‑ramp to 1.6T deployment in existing data center designs.
These recognitions demonstrate how Marvell continues to advance the optical technologies that enable efficient, scalable AI infrastructure. Read the full article for more details: https://t.co/R0eZzUK6Pa
GPUs/XPUs are getting faster at an exponential rate, but the network infrastructure feeding them data is falling behind.
Without a breakthrough, AI data centers face:
⚠️ Underutilized GPUs
⚠️ Performance and throughput bottlenecks for AI training and inference
⚠️ Ballooning TCO
