Wall Street and professional analysts quibble over where SpaceX’s 3 month stock price settles, while they debate if space compute should even be considered economically viable.
Meanwhile, China has formed 2 separate industry committees in the last 3 months and given more than $9B (order of magnitude more than equity raised on this in the US) in credit and equity funding to companies solving the exact same problem.
This is the one other entity (outside SpaceX) with scalable space access.
Importantly, they have more power generation (existing and planned) than anyone else in the world.
If anyone can hand wave the concern about energy access for AI, it’s China.
Yet they keep doubling down on funding and supporting the supply chain for compute in space.
Is it considered a psyop? Thats the only reason I can see for everyone collectively ignoring it.
@Tslachan@elonmusk Your appreciation of Tesla and their products that are made out of love for humanity shines in all of your posts. We are kindred souls in that respect. 🫡
