I took this picture at Free Iran Summit in 2018. This could’ve been the last picture of many of my friends & families, including my then 12 yo niece. The Iranian regime tried to plant a bomb in that conference. Now we are more determined to bring freedom to Iran

The Iranian Resistance, which for nearly five decades has sought freedom and peace, welcomes any understanding to end the war and the suffering of the Iranian people. In Iran, no one except the remnants of the mullahs and the Shah has wanted or wants war.
The effort to produce nuclear weapons, warmongering, and meddling in the countries of the region are part of the survival strategy of the religious fascism ruling Iran, and it will not abandon them as long as it can. War is this regime’s shield against popular uprisings, while peace and a ceasefire are, as Khomeini put it, like “poison” for it. The overthrow of the regime is the responsibility of the Iranian people and their organized Resistance.
Mrs. Rajavi added: I reiterate once again that any international agreement to end the war must include an end to the execution of political prisoners and the killing of protesters.

Masoud Jamei, Alireza Mardasi & Reza Abdali, from Iran’s Ahwazi Arab minority, as well as Farshad Etemadi Far, were sentenced to death in 2025 in an unfair trial by a Revolutionary Court in Ahvaz over alleged links to the banned People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI). 2/6
Proud to take part in a parliamentary event on Iran at a historic crossroads. The regime is weaker than ever, and its only answer to dissent is the rope. I stand with the NCRI and Maryam Rajavi's Ten-Point Plan for a free, democratic and secular Iran. #FreeIran
▶️ We urge EU leaders to help stop the execution of political prisoner Zahra Tabari in #Iran.
She faces death, after a 10 minute trial, just for holding up a banner “Woman, Resistance, Freedom.”

«KrF-ledelsen har åpenbart ønsket å uttrykke støtte til den
iranske befolkningens legitime kamp for frihet og demokrati.
Men når støtten kanaliseres via krefter som ønsker å
gjeninnføre monarkiet, svekkes den moralske tyngden i
budskapet. Pahlavi-dynastiet etterlot seg smertefulle bevis på
brutal undertrykkelse, tortur og det hemmelige politiet SAVAK.»
Thanked the Home Office Minister @RTHondavehanson for bringing forward legislation for tackling the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps - and I highlighted the executions of pro democracy activists, the targeting of women like Mahsa Amini, arrested for offending the dress code, and dying in suspicious circumstances, and horrific violent attacks on journalists - and called for the full implementation of the unanimous Joint Committee on Human Rights report on transnational repression.
🛑We promised Vahid that we would amplify his message and carry his voice forward.
On June 20, 2026, in Paris, we will be the echo of Vahid’s voice and his call #FreeIran10PointPlan
✊ Against executions.
🕊️ For a democratic republic.

One of my favorite human beings has left us...
Jean Ziegler deeply shaped me as a person and influenced my life profoundly. As teenagers, we already read his books and discussed late into the night about his worldview, his ideals, and his tireless fight against injustice.
Around the same time, I learned that Jean Ziegler was a loyal companion of Dr. Kazem Rajavi, who was murdered in Geneva in 1990 by an Iranian death squad. Jean Ziegler was not only a close friend of Dr. Rajavi, but also a passionate supporter of the Iranian Resistance. Fortunately, I was able to hear this from him personally several times and witness with how much love, humility, and sincerity he spoke about the Iranian Resistance.
The first time I met Jean Ziegler was at a conference where he spoke about the deadly attack on Ashraf City, at that time the refuge of the Iranian Resistance. Many people were killed there by bombs and gunfire from Iraqi militias acting under direct orders from Tehran. Among the victims were many young women resistance fighters who still had their whole lives ahead of them.
I was nervous because it would be the first time I met Jean Ziegler in person. The occasion itself was, of course, marked by deep sorrow. At the end of the conference, I quietly walked up to him and thanked him for his open-minded and critical spirit, for his courage, and for his tireless commitment to the Iranian Resistance and the people of Iran.
He turned around, pointed at the young faces of the murdered Ashraf residents whose photographs were hanging on the wall, and said to me with deep reverence and seriousness:
“You should not thank me, my dear. Thank these people.”
Afterwards, he continued to look silently and thoughtfully at their faces.
I gave him that moment and understood that it was not the right time to express my admiration for him.
In the years that followed, however, I had many more opportunities to discuss world politics with him and to stand side by side with him in support of the people of Iran.
Rest in power, extraordinary human being. You'll be missed but your legacy will live on.

9 days to go. Since I posted this, the Iranian regime has hanged at least 49 more people. 784 executions in 2026 alone, with political executions at their highest level in 37 years. Five more political prisoners face imminent execution at Sheiban Prison this week.
🕯️ Jean Ziegler, Renowned Human Rights Advocate and Former UN Rapporteur, Dies at 92
Jean Ziegler, the Swiss sociologist, former member of the Swiss Federal Parliament, and former UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food, has died in Geneva at the age of 92.
A prominent human rights advocate, Ziegler was a longtime supporter of the Iranian Resistance and a close friend of Dr. Kazem Rajavi. During the Shah's era, he campaigned alongside Dr. Rajavi against political executions, namely to stop the execution of the Iranian Resistance Leader, Massoud Rajavi.
He also played an active role in defending the rights of residents of Camp Ashraf during the years of its siege.
Known internationally for his criticism of inequality and global injustice, Ziegler remained active into his nineties, publishing Where Is Hope? at age 90—a call for resistance against war, hunger, and injustice.
At least 18 prisoners were executed in Iran over just two days — May 31 and June 1 — with one victim 'hanged in public with utmost brutality,' according to the National Council of Resistance of Iran.
One human rights group tracking the killings says the real number is 'almost certainly' higher than the 784 they've documented this year because the regime 'frequently carries out executions in secret.' Five more political prisoners in Sheiban Prison face imminent execution right now.
