6 more Odia workers from Odisha who were undergoing treatment in hospitals of Thiruvallur and Chennai have been discharged and safely brought back home.
To ensure their comfort and avoid a long train journey, they travelled by air from Chennai and arrived at Bhubaneswar Airport at 7:15 PM on 14.07.2026 accompanied by DLC, Kendujhar.
From the airport, they were sent to their native places in an AC vehicle under proper guidance and support of Labour machinery.
With this, a total of 83 Odia workers have returned to their native place.
2 more workers are still under treatment in Chennai and are being closely monitored.
Two labour officers are monitoring their treatment at Chennai.
