NEWS: Sweden backs an EU-wide approval of Tesla FSD.

In an official reply to parliament, Sweden's government said it wants Tesla's FSD (Supervised) approved across the EU.

Andreas Carlson, Minister for Infrastructure and Housing, wrote that "it is the Government's starting point and ambition that a Union-wide approval of advanced driver assistance systems such as Tesla FSD (Supervised) should be put in place."

He added that these approvals always follow safety checks. In his words: "Such approvals are always preceded by evaluations and analyses of the available material on the system."

The reply, dated August 31, answered a question from MP Rickard Nordin about Sweden's stance at the EU's technical committee on motor vehicles (TCMV), which handles the FSD approval vote.

Tesla watcher Alexander Kristensen framed it plainly: "Sweden intends to vote YES for FSD."

It marks a shift. In June, Sweden's transport agency had urged the EU to reject Tesla FSD over a speeding concern.

I just read a paper talking about "folic acid deficiency" causing neural tube defects.

There is no such thing.

It's like saying "statin deficiency" or "vaccine deficiency".

Folate is a vitamin you can be deficient in.
Folic acid is a drug.
