This morning I was proud to appear with the leaders of 9/11 Health Watch, Speaker Julie Menin, Congressman Dan Goldman, and labor leaders from the Uniformed Firefighters, Uniformed Firefighter Officers, and Operating Engineers, as we revealed the long-lost “Harding Memo” and calling on the Mayor to fund the ongoing investigation sparked by my legislation to gather and issue a report on all information the City has on the topic of Ground Zero toxins.
This week, Special Master Allison Turkel visited NYC and met with @bronxbp, Deputy Mallon @QnsBPRichards, and @SIBPVito to discuss opportunities to reach more potential claimants across the five boroughs.

TY @SpeakerMenin and @galeabrewer for working to make sure the @NYC_DOI investigation has the funding it needs to find out what NYC knew about toxins at Ground Zero and when it knew it.
Grateful to @galeabrewer and @911HealthWatch for your advocacy and partnership in seeking transparency from the city.

I have continuously called on the City to release all information regarding toxic exposure at Ground Zero for over two decades.
This news confirms the worst; that the City was aware of the health risks soon after 9/11 and misled the hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers who were exposed.
The City must provide candid, honest answers to ensure that all survivors can receive the fair treatment they deserve.

TY @SpeakerMenin and @galeabrewer@RepDanGoldman for demanding a full accounting from the City of NY for what it new about toxins at Ground Zero and when it knew it.
This morning, I joined @galeabrewer, @RepDanGoldman, and @911HealthWatch to demand full transparency around what the City knew about toxic exposure after 9/11. Like tens of thousands of New Yorkers, I lived and worked in Lower Manhattan and was told it was safe to return, even though it was not.
As we approach the 25th anniversary, we are calling on the City to fully fund the DOI investigation and release all remaining records.
