I want to help some of you out this year. I've noticed that YouTube is flooded with new grifter trading account marketers, so let me give you some advice:
1. No real trader is trading off of TradingView—especially not equity index futures. I’d bet any amount of money that someone using TradingView as their primary tool to trade isn’t making money from trading but is probably making it from deals. If you see a video featuring a TradingView screenshot like the one below, log off immediately.
2. Beware of retail trading educators who follow ICT (the original trading "guru"). If they use his "methods" or believe in the idea that markets have a secret algorithm that can be cracked, they’re a joke.
3. Any young kid who has an overly simplistic TA approach and claims they trade the ES or NQ. [Sorry dude, dead giveaway, that's the hardest poker table and you ain't it]
Trading successfully over the long term is a grind, and it’s hard as hell. But talking about trading? That’s easy. Learning a few buzzwords? Easy. Drawing lines on charts? Also easy.
If you see this nonsense, run.
