Telos Privacy is almost here - and nothing will look the same. Are you ready?
🔍Let’s stop confusing it: anonymity ≠ privacy
Anonymity means disappearing.
Privacy means controlling what you reveal.
Institutions don’t want opacity, they want governance and control.
With Telos’ Privacy Layer powered by ZK, we can finally prove without exposing.
This ends the impossible choice between “fast but transparent” and “secure but opaque.”
💎The future is neither anonymous nor fully public, it’s selectively verifiable 💎
Telos Privacy Layer brings:
Native ZK + modular integration
Hyper-performance (real TPS + upcoming zkEVM)
Privacy → without breaking global transparency
Perfect for agentic AI, enterprises, institutions, and DeFi.
Not an “anonymity coin” → institution-ready
Telos positions itself as the missing perfect balance the market needed. $Tlos @HelloTelos@VitalikButerin@0xfoobar@chainalysis@coinbase
Good question. But Telos privacy is fully cryptographic.
“Suspicion” simply means a user or a KYC’d entity can choose to reveal info if legally required, just like in traditional finance. No one can just unlock private transactions. It’s private by default, auditable only if you decide.
With the recently launched Trusted Setup Ceremony, the parameters for the Privacy Layer are generated in a distributed way — meaning no single party (not Telos, not a government, not a validator) can “unlock” private transactions. A systemic backdoor simply isn’t possible unless you break the cryptography itself.
The holy grail of institutional DeFi? Institutionally compatible confidentiality. Telos just delivered it with Telos Privacy Layer @HelloTelos $Tlos
🔍« Institutions know who you are, but they cannot see the details of your transactions — unless there is suspicion. »
This is exactly the direction being pursued by:
▶️traditional finance (banks, funds, insurers)
▶️governments
▶️regulated Web3 companies (tokenization, RWAs)
and the institutional DeFi wave that’s coming
Telos is the first “regulatory-compatible privacy” model.
Selective privacy, not total anonymity — exactly what is required by:
MiCA, SEC/CFTC, FATF, MAS, banks, fintechs.
Telos isn’t just adding privacy to its own chain.
It’s delivering a ZK Privacy Layer that can be used across ecosystems. @VitalikButerin@FireblocksHQ@OndoFinance@centrifuge@realvision@Circle@chainalysis
Zora will show the value of your coins based on available liquidity instead of last price.
This will mean way more accurate and actionable information for traders.
Doing this for millions of tokens is a huge lift, @zora engineers cooked on this one.
