If YOU were supposed to be honored on a particular day for your achievements, and a number of the invited guests cited lame excuses not to be there, you’d be rightly offended by that and wonder if they really knew you or cared about you.
Now, let’s add that the reason you are to
I enjoy a lot of my interactions here so much. But X is a time waster for me. If you're looking for me I'm pretty easy to find. Just not on X for now.
I'm not judging anyone who properly uses X. I'm just unable to redeem the time God has given me and keep logged in. Blessings!
I thought I had good reasons yesterday. But I didn't prepare myself as much for this morning as I normally would on Saturday evening. And this morning I paid for it. Begin your worship Saturday evening through the effort to prepare for Sunday. It is how God intended.
Many followers of Jesus are asking the Lord for some wonderful things. For revival and reformation.
And I’m so glad He is kind and gracious!
But it’s interesting that we have these giant requests but we struggle with the simplest things.
Going to church.
Reading our Bibles.
Ordaining qualified elders.
Even something as simple as men being uncovered and women being covered…a seemingly easy task on the Lord’s Day… is widely ignored.
Oh Lord, help us.

I know of a church plant in northwest arkansas and potential one in central TN looking for a qualified elder. It will be bivocational to begin. If you know of someone send me a DM. Would love to help these precious churches. Must subscribe to 1689 2LBCF.

King David is one of the manliest men to ever live. He killed bears and lions with his bare hands! He slew Goliath, the giant enemy of God. He destroyed the enemies of the LORD’s people, making peace for Israel.
Do you know what else? He meditated on God’s word day and night; he memorized the Scriptures; he taught the Bible; he wrote Psalms and sang them; he prayed his heart out; he pointed to the kind mercy of God in saving sinners by grace; and he wept over his sin and repented. This is a man of worth.
Sadly I think many men choose one or the other—some choose only physical fitness and training to be a dangerous yet self controlled man, or they choose to be spiritually minded and devoted to holiness.
Biblical manhood it is not either/or. It is both/and.
We need fit men. Fit in their bodies and fit in their souls. God, grant it!
@TonyShort34@bmatlock1990 My wife read a book called taming the fingers by a man named Jeff Johnson and she said it was a great book. Just figured I'd pass that on based on your post.
