@OrdinariateUSA Proud Kansas Citian here, the Church is great around here. I attribute it to a string of solid bishops that did a great job of holding to tradition but also reaching out with open arms.
And Maryland is called that because it was the Catholic colony. It's not anymore, but was
@ChrisBataluk@AydinPaladin@IamSean90 As an American, the phrase "no permit required" is crazy to read. Are there situations where you would have to apply for an A/C permit and the gov could reject it?
@CatholicAwesome Stand on Truth, but always in Charity. Truth without charity can lead people to believe they're unforgivable for the evil they've done. Charity without truth is a fake love that prioritizes immediate feeling over life long Good.
@sourpatchlyds@megbasham Your willful ignorance of the Pope/Church's stance on the martyrs in Africa is disappointing at this point. It's like a trite go-to even if incorrect
@Cernovich read what you posted earlier, you'll see the pope said "access to food". Like, i feel for that a guy who is homeless and can't get a job who wants to just go into the woods and live off the land can't because there's no unclaimed land to hunt/ live on. eternal freebies =/= love
@ShamelessPopery@JendersII Be wary of wrestling pigs in the mud. Eventually you'll realize they have no intention of wrestling, but just enjoy rolling in and flinging filth, and you've gained nothing but a layer of filth
Yesterday was my final day as Director of National Intelligence. I declassified and released never-before-seen documents exposing the truth about Fauci directing millions of US taxpayer dollars to fund dangerous gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, worked with the Intelligence Community to suppress the truth about his actions and hide the virus’ lab-leak origins, and lied to Congress while under oath in 2024. It’s time you know the truth. Go to https://t.co/tVwWp0TxZ4 to see for yourself.
@sourpatchlyds@Xtopher_Uzo We don't take him literally all the time either, but if you look in the surrounding verses of John 6, you'll see that at first the people took it figuratively, then He corrected them, then they asked 'How can we eat your flesh?', and Jesus doubles down and let's them leave
@xthemasterand@PetriOP@software_dad I believe the saints awareness, their consciousness of things they don't see isn't a natural gift part of man's nature and therefore perfected in heaven but a supernatural one granted by God at His pleasure/discretion so if God desired they knew, they could. I don't think He does
@sourpatchlyds My wife has gotten super "we should be more self sustaining" with a giant garden and chickens and fruit trees and wanting a cow, making our owns clothes, etc. At first I was passively supportive, but now I'm more convinced she's on to something
@Alicia_Bittle_@luinalaska She was blessed to have a very smooth VBAC at home 18 mo later. It was a wonderful experience for us. I understand it's not for everyone, but it's nice to be able to try to do homebirths, knowing we have good midwives and good local hospitals if the worst happens
@Alicia_Bittle_@luinalaska My wife was/is still devastated that we couldn't do a home birth with our eldest but our midwives suggested to go to the hospital for some testing. Ended up needing a C-section which sucked because she'd already labored a bunch making recovery harder. But baby and mom are alive
@thecavemommy We over night potty trained my eldest at around 2. She did fine during the day, but we emphasized going potty right before bed and right when we woke up. When she had more dry than wet night diapers, we went diaper-less and for a week I woke up in the middle of the night. Easy
