@drsanjoykumar@nottsinquiry Dr Kumar, thank you for your strength and fight. I agree, MH services need to take accountability and ownership for such cases. Absolutely repeat prescribing can happen in PC, AFTER the specialist initiates and titrates accordingly. Sorry this has happened.
@RMatthewsPsych@wesstreeting With all due respect, it’s accident and emergency. Staff really don’t have time to be making sure people are fed and watered - it’s not a ward. That’s your responsibility. With regards to pain relief - that absolutely should have been addressed both at triage and Dr. Review
I impeached Biden’s Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, those were my articles of impeachment that passed in the House of Representatives. I unapologetically believe in border security and deporting criminal illegal aliens and I support law enforcement.
However, I also unapologetically support the 2nd amendment.
Legally carrying a firearm is not the same as brandishing a firearm.
I support American’s 1st and 4th amendment rights.
There is nothing wrong with legally peacefully protesting and videoing.
MAGA, consider it like this.
We lost our minds when we watched Biden’s FBI track down and aggressively carry out home invasions and arrest on peaceful J6’ers who walked in the Capitol through open doors.
Imaging if one of our MAGA independent journalists or even just a MAGA supporter stood in the street outside a J6’ers house while Biden’s FBI carried out a law enforcement operation, home invasion, and arrest.
Then Biden’s FBI goes to the MAGA guy videoing it all and shoves a woman with him to the ground and sprays them with bear spray then throws the MAGA guy to the ground as MAGA guy was trying to help the woman off the ground. Then Biden’s FBI beats MAGA guy on the ground, disarms MAGA guy, and then shoots him dead.
What would have been our reaction?
Both sides need to take off their political blinders.
You are all being incited into civil war, yet none of it solves any of the real problems that we all face, and tragically people are dying.
@Villacallum@somersetcfl@SomersetFA As someone who stopped playing sport because of homophobia, I applaud your courage and strength in calling it out, sticking to your morals and standing up for the future of young people in sport!
Hundreds of resident Doctor colleagues are going to be unemployed this month.
This is a catastrophic failure of workforce planning by UK Govts & many senior clinicians who have had a role/ influence in workforce planning.
As a profession - we should all be throughly ashamed.
Only the British public would begrudge doctors who operate on them overnight, put them to sleep during said operations, look after them on ICU, and run the medical take overnight being paid a similar amount to an Aldi area manager.
🦀🪣
As a specialist registrar doctor, I’m paid £29/hour after 6 years of med school, a master’s, expensive exams & 6 years on the frontline.
We’re asking for me & my colleagues at the same level to be paid £7 more an hour to £36 to restore our pay.
We intubate, operate, lead resus & save lives.
£7 more isn’t greed. It’s fairness.
@BMAResidents@TheBMA
The derogation granted to Kings College Hospital for a Radiology SpR, has been revoked for both today and tomorrow. This is due to a false submission of accurate staffing levels. Either local management were unaware they had sufficient cover, or they deliberately misled us.
Todays picket at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham🪧
£22.67/hr is not an unreasonable ask. Doctors have subsidised the NHS for far too long.
Perhaps @wesstreeting needs reminding that the power to stop these strikes lies squarely with the government.
@BMAResidents
I rely on doctors to keep me alive.
If my heart wobbles and they arent there, im screwed.
Yet i support the strike by junior (resident) doctors.
Because someone whose bust a gut for years to qualify, who saves lives, is worth 22 quid an hour.
Its not complicated.
