Many don’t realize that the first people Hitler sent to his concentration camps weren’t everyday Jewish citizens, but his political opponents. So, when Trump rants about retribution, locking up his opponents, and giving them “very long sentences,” I can’t help but take him seriously… because history teaches us that is what fascist dictators do during their “Day One” period to consolidate their power. Karakalpak human rights activist Aqylbek Muratbai (Muratov) @muratbaiman, who has been held for more than 8 months in the #Almaty pre-trial detention centre at Uzbekistan's extradition request, is seeking to challenge the Kazakh authorities' refusal to grant asylum via the court. But the State Committee that denied the activist refugee status finds that Muratbai lacks ‘any documents confirming his fear of becoming a victim of persecution by the official authorities’ in Uzbekistan, and also lacks ‘information from the media’ about such persecution.

Court hearings on the Karakalpak activist's denial of asylum will begin in the coming days. Muratbai is still at risk of extradition to #Uzbekistan, where he faces torture, a politically motivated trial and a long prison sentence.

A couple in love died at the front – Danylo "Berserk", a Warrior of the 3rd Assault Brigade, and combat medic Valentyna Nahorna, with the call sign "Valkyrie".

Sergeant Valentyna Nahorna was a biotechnologist and manicurist in civilian life. She joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion. "Valkyrie" provided medical care to a huge number of wounded Ukrainian Defenders.

Valentyna's boyfriend "Berserk" had extensive combat experience since 2014. Between the battles for Kyiv, he taught everyone medicine, his brothers-in-arms recall.

After a film screening about the war in Ukraine, attendees noticed a strange smell and signs of poisoning. Event organizers stated that this was yet another provocation by Russia. Several people were hospitalized. An investigation is ongoing.
