Our picket line kicked off today! We will remain on indefinite ULP strike against Root & Rebound until management stops fighting AGAINST its workers and starts fighting WITH its workers on behalf of our clients and community!
@uawregion6@UAW
@ACLU_DC@ZacharyforWard5 @MatthewFrumin There is never a good time for a civil rights and liberties org to trample on the rights of its own workers, but especially not now. @ACLU_DC can and must do better!
This week, we reminded @ACLU_DC bosses that union rights are civil rights! Since we unionized, management has:
❌ Taken away our successful 4-day work week, and
❌ Refused to negotiate changes to our working conditions
The NLRB just ruled captive audience meetings are an unlawful violation of workers' right to organize.
*Now* is the time to form a union - some common barriers have been removed and it'll take time for the new administration to undo these rulings. Get in touch, get organized.
Today we celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day and honor the cultures, histories, and contributions of Indigenous and Native communities. We stand in solidarity with Indigenous workers and their fight for justice, equity, and respect in the workplace and beyond.
