My key question for this session is as follows
What measures do we have in place to empower #HCWs (in training & in practice) of the technicalities involving #PHC & PPR? i.e taking all the global conversations and converting into action

@FifaRahman shares 2 requests:
1️⃣ A new TRIPS order and more technology transfer
2️⃣ Our very first Long COVID technical meeting (with a request for the @ACTAccelerator Hub to facilitate this) given the underemphasis on #LongCOVID in this transition
@FifaRahman: ‘on oxygen, this pandemic has been a wakeup call on poor national level planning and international donor support for medical oxygen infrastructure’
@FifaRahman also highlights the need for a human rights and access-based approach to testing & the work of CSOs in pushing for self-testing throughout the pandemic. We must centre the right to health & remember that this right doesn’t apply differentially across geographies
@FifaRahman highlights the need for the globally community to actively start looking at equal intellectual partnership of LMICs, not as a tick in the box diversity initiative but rather as a fundamental component of commodities deployment and pandemic response
Professor Olive Shisana presents the proportion of funding mobilised for the ACT-Accelerator - with largest portions provided by the United States and Germany.
The wonderful @carlbildt describes the Principals calls held every Thursday during the pandemic and how this prompted unprecedented interagency collaboration. Thanks Carl for your great chairing of these meetings - pushing the agenda along and ensuring we keep on track.
