@Imperivivus@StatisticUrban Even with massive support from the federal government they got 10% of the nation to tune in.
It's certainly a subculture that's been around but even with forced relevancy it can't even attract a majority of interest.
@LizMair Yep, it's truly insane Israel would hand this to him on a silver platter.
You'd think they would take 10% of their propaganda budget to try and make themselves seem remotely peaceful.
They don't care because they delusionally think they're doing the lord's work.
@BuzzPatterson The West Bank isn't a war zone...
The fed gives Israel $4 billion plus a year, it makes sense that our fed representatives know where that money is going.
This violates no laws on the representatives part.
If you're worried about treason just look at the current admin.
@StefanMolyneux They lobbied to be able to offer riskier products in the name of giving the little guy a chance in the market.
Nobody forced them to do anything.
Rules were put in place to avoid this and they almost immediately went back to lobbying for risky banking practices.
@0mnipotent7@Noahpinion Assuming you have a paid off home you should be able to live a decent life off of $50K - $70K/year. If that's all you pull you'll never really spend anything.
Pull $100K/year and it will depleat down to nothing in 30 years.
Remember, the investment is still active in retirement
@firstadopter Yes... One big company figured it out.
Overpay compared to the market instead of blowing cash trying squeeze workers and constantly hiring. Give decent benefits.
Now if only the rest of the big companies would do this...
@DrDanMO These are based on country of origin...
Still, to coddle and handhold people would have been smart. Put in Little Italy which doesn't have much Italian immigration these days and Borough Park as there isn't a centralized Israeli immigrant location.
@Noahpinion Fair... But this means a lot of "working class" people aren't working class people.
Lots of folks are handed jobs and business deals by their family but he being a NE progressive makes it disqualifying is kind of silly.
@rossiadam Pay people a living wage like we once did. Use the might of the American economy or that we're the greatest country on earth to make up for the relatively meager gains in costs related to wages...
Why is this the one cost that impacts prices going up that just can't be accepted?
@socalgalAnita@rossiadam They've done the same thing in Louisiana where the minimum wage is $7.25...
It is going to happen regardless.
Pay people, at the very least adults/independent people, a living wage.
Very basic concept that keeps your local economy running.
@kane Eh, I get the point you're making but bureaucratic or impactful that job should be held by a California tax payer... Does it need to be in an office, very dependant on the job, but the person should be in the state and especially within the region that makes them most effective
@nypost Just say you didn't actually read the report... 30% of the 10% rise soooo 3%.
It's not a nothing figure but it's also relatively inconsequential.
@StatisticUrban We have to get private dollars out of elections.
Get back to town halls, debates, interviews with reporters/news stations, and very basic ads from a small pool of public election funds split equally among candidates.
