Governor Newsom nails it: Clean energy isn't killing California's economy. It's powering it.

While critics predicted economic ruin, we became the world's fourth-largest economy. Not despite clean energy. Because of it.

The right keeps claiming clean energy kills jobs and drives up costs. California's reality: 7x more clean energy jobs than fossil fuel jobs. We've proven cheaper, faster, better energy creates growth.

This isn't some California coastal fantasy. It's market validation on a massive scale. Coal or natural gas didn't die from regulation — they got too expensive. Clean energy won in the marketplace.

The fossil fuel industry has spent decades convincing people that environmental protection and economic growth are incompatible. California proved that's false.

The big question from here: is the rest of America ready to follow through and build the renewable and storage capacity that leads us into the future? Is California ready to fast-track permitting for even more storage and transmission?

China installed more solar last year than we have in 30 years. They're not doing this for environmental virtue — they're doing it because it's cheaper, faster, and better for economic competitiveness, national security, and affordability.

We can debate this forever, or we can build what we know works. Other countries aren't waiting.
