As an academic I am frustrated with the journal submission process. Listing out the affiliations of my coauthors is repetitive and error-prone. To solve this I built https://t.co/Olsr51OGpy.
The idea is that academics create a page with their affiliation, connect it to their ORCID, and choose a username. Academics can then share their https://t.co/HlVEOPiX3V so their affiliation can be added during journal submission.
https://t.co/Olsr51OGpy is a unique spin on the "link-in-bio" that allows academics to create a page listing their affiliation, bio, and links, akin to a simple personal website. It stands out from similar platforms like https://t.co/3JAlT9P0sJ in a few key ways:
1. Authentication via ORCID: ensures credibility without additional log-in requirements.
2. ORCID-based usernames: makes it easier to recall users and link them to their academic identity.
3. Easy affiliation copying: simplifies the process of adding author information during journal submission.
The site's design is basic but the tool encapsulates the functionality I've personally found helpful. For a glimpse, here's my own page: https://t.co/UCv0xznexe.
If you think this tool is useful for you please give it a try. Your feedback, technical or otherwise, is invaluable. I have a bunch of additional features that l plan on implementing.
