This has been one of the most beautiful moments of our season. Virgil van Dijk with Diogo Jota’s children. 🥹
Anfield standing behind his family. They will never walk alone.. ❤️
When one player’s mum lost her hair to cancer, the whole team stood with her.
Moments like this are one of the many reasons why grassroots is amazing❤️

More than just football. 💙
DJIBRIL CISSÉ : “We were devastated after losing 3-0 in the first half against A.C. Milan. At halftime, Rafa Benítez spoke and tried to encourage us and get us back into the game. He was very optimistic.
“But what really changed everything was Steven Gerrard’s speech. He asked the coaching staff to leave him alone with all the players. He told us he was a Liverpool lad, that he had always been at the club, and that he didn’t want to see his team being humiliated like that. He said that if we scored one goal in the first 15 minutes of the second half, we would win the match. He was the one who scored that goal.
“It was the best captain’s speech I heard in my entire career. He asked everyone, including Rafa Benítez, to leave because he only wanted to be with the players. That gave us a lot of power to go out and win the match. You need guts to do something like what Gerrard did.”
RIP Ella 😢
We are deeply saddened to share that Ella passed away peacefully yesterday.
Ella was a proud and talented player for Wakefield AFC Juniors, Rothwell Juniors, and the Leeds United Shadow Squad. She was a huge part of our grassroots football family — not only for her ability and dedication on the pitch, but for her smile, her spirit, and the joy she brought to everyone around her.
Ella will always hold a special place in the hearts of all who knew her. The memories she created, the friendships she built, and the passion she showed for the game will never be forgotten.
Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with her family, friends, teammates, coaches, and all who knew and loved her at this incredibly difficult time.
Rest in peace, Ella 💛💙
