Hi all, I'm wanting to do a lesson on addition/ subtraction with a year 7 class. Any fun activities for a 50 minute lesson? I'm struggling to find anything online on the well known resources.
@TeachUsMaths Thank you! I will check it out, hopefully it will be useful. I wanted something that I could print in a big booklet and monitor them. Let's see.
Hi all, does anybody have maths resources to support intervention/booster work for weak students in year KS3? Ideally a booklet I can print and give them physical copies to fill in.
Hi all!
Are there any math homework packs available out there for free or to purchase? Something to provide to students every few days/weekly with answers? Take 15/20 minutes to complete, so can be set very regularly. Or even small assessments that can be carried out as starters?
Hey all, this is a project of mine that will be starting over the Easter holidays. GCSE preparation for English students.
Please retweet and share, I really would appreciate any support you guys provide. Thank you so much!
Preparing my Calculator Revision Resources for next week's mock part 2.
These are the frequencies in the last five years of topics coming up on calculator papers.
Doing a percentage change and solving equations is integrated throughout so doesn't have its own place.
My Year 11s are preparing this week for their Non-Calculator mock examination. So I put together a little revision reminder sheet.
If you want to be added to the mailing list, please retweet and DM a request. Working through the backlog of requests atm.
Weβre looking at expanding the maths team at @LeedsCityWay for next year! Lovely team, and a lovely school!
Youβd have to work with me, @StudyMaths and @LeedsTeacherβ¦ but donβt let that put you off π
Happy to answer any questions you might have.

Hi Maths people, I am looking for a video or ppt explaining why we learn algebra and its real life application. Would anyone be kind enough to share it please. I would really appreciate it.
Thanks a lot.
Hey all, I've got an observation on Monday, & the topic is 'area of 2D shapes' for Y7. I've taught them the topic before so they know the essentials. My mentor is looking to see depth and A03. If anybody has ideas for group work or pair work & any useful resources, please share.
@VowlesPoppy oooo, that's a great idea. My original idea for the starter was essentially a recap of them doing standard area questions. Maybe this could be the next part of my lesson. Really useful, thank you!
