Illegal immigration needs to stop, but I’m super in favor of greatly expanding and simplifying legal immigration.
Anyone who proves themself to be hard-working, talented and honest should be allowed to become an American. Period.
@LMarasovic3 Thanks. @USCISDirector@USCIS. EB 485s are getting no where. Why the LIN/Nebraska SC is not processing 485s which are FAD current, 693 already submitted. There are tons of DQ 485s.
@sunnydilip1 @USCIS@USCISDirector@SpoxUSCIS There is no update for LIN cases filed at Nebraska. We are waiting for months and months without update and our PDs are current for many months. Where is the medical RFE? pls help
.@USCIS Director Ur M. Jaddou has announced a new taskforce aimed at addressing years-old backlogs in immigration case processing, per an internal notice shared with me.
USCIS currently faces +9 million pending cases. +6 million are "beyond our targeted processing goals."
Proud to join @CongressmanRaja and @RepKManning in calling for the budget reconciliation package to provide relief to the 1.2 million individuals stuck in the employment-based green card backlog. https://t.co/ihmGILSait
I'm glad to join @CongressmanRaja & @RepDeborahRoss in calling for relief through the reconciliation package for the 1.2 million individuals stuck in the employment-based green card backlog.
.@RepDeborahRoss, @RepKManning & other Dems call for relief for individuals in the green card backlog via budget reconciliation.
Failing to include them "would be tantamount to staging an economic recovery with one hand tied behind our back," they wrote. https://t.co/gUFAbczd5Y
Just as India sent assistance to the United States as our hospitals were strained early in the pandemic, we are determined to help India in its time of need.
Dems to take up #immigration reform next week. 2 bills considered are: 1) Farm Workforce Modernization Act and 2) American Dream and Promise Act. Interestingly, they are not considering Fairness for High Skilled Immigrants Act which passed with 365 votes. https://t.co/cXKFKintl9
We’ve blown the opportunity to maximize high-skilled immigrants who have come to this country.
The backlog of green cards is immoral, and per-country caps punish countries that have a lot more to offer us.
Congress needs to get something done on this issue. @SASCGOP
Lot of us have many questions & need lawyer services with the recent EB3 movement. This is our time to show support and use services of Immigration lawyers who *actively* supported equality (#S386). Spread this info to others too.
If I've missed anyone please add it to the list.
@SenRickScott Stop making it about country of birth. It's about order & fairness. A Pakistani doctor & an Indian doctor with the same Priority Date should get GC at the same time. The Iranian researcher & the Indian researcher with the same Priority Date should get their GC at the same time.
@crampell@NowIsTheTime4It@SenRickScott Hi Catherine, First of all - many thanks for offering to help. The core of the issue is national origin discrimination. Two similarly qualified employment immigrants have significantly disparate wait times just exclusively based on where they were born.

Thank you @crampell for looking into this important issue. Hope you get some answers from @SenRickScott . We haven’t. The number of his DC office is 202-224-5274 . Please ask him why he is holding S.386, The Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act.
@NowIsTheTime4It@SenRickScott Thanks for sharing your story (and the contrast with your brother's experience in Canada). Could you please email me at [email protected]? I'm working on an article related to this subject, and would love to talk with you further.
Great to see friends from @immivoice. I'm proud to cosponsor the Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act. Skilled immigrants should be able to earn green cards in a timely manner, regardless of the country they came from—enabling them to further contribute to our communities.
@MyNews13 .@SenRickScott We will fight till the end, STOP discrimination unblock S386. We want to teach our kids English and not Cantonese! I was invited to the USA based on my skills. STOP discriminating against me!

@MyNews13@anirb_das There is a reason why US is still stuck with 40 years old Immigration laws! Whenever it comes to immigration, it is senators like @SenRickScott who will always find an excuse and block the passage of the bills in spite of vast majority of congress agrees to it. Pass #S386
U.S. Sen. Rick Scott is pushing back against a bipartisan bill that would make changes to the U.S. immigration system, but a Central Florida man wants to see it pass https://t.co/zZMJ9DFoe6
