Final week of measurements for our oats biomass trial. We harvested biomass samples today which will be dried and weighed. There seemed to be a difference across each nitrogen treatment, variety and biomass. @Bec_Swift_ @SJB_Ag @JoelTheGinger @AHagboom @AJenko12 @DarcyCobley

Week 8 measurements of our oats biomass trial. Difference between varieties is easily seen. Single nitrogen application seems to look better than the split application in plot 1. @Bec_Swift_ @SJB_Ag @DarcyCobley @JoelTheGinger @AJenko12 @AHagboom

Week 6 measurements of our oats biomass trial. Applied the remaining 30 units to the split nitrogen treatment. Plenty of snails within the plots, along with lots of clover within one of the two plots. @AJenko12 @AHagboom @DarcyCobley @JoelTheGinger @SJB_Ag @Bec_Swift_

[Hennie Botha @henniebotha130]

Week 5 of measurements of our oats experiment. Can clearly see different nitrogen treatments within each plot. Looking to apply the final nitrogen treatments next week. @AJenko12 @JoelTheGinger @AHagboom @DarcyCobley @SJB_Ag @Bec_Swift_

[Hennie Botha @henniebotha130]

Week 4 measurements of our oats biomass trial. Different Nitrogen treatments becoming obvious within the plots. Potential potassium deficiency is still evident. Still monitoring for pests and disease. @JoelTheGinger @DarcyCobley @AHagboom @AJenko12 @Bec_Swift_ @SJB_Ag

Week 3 measurements of our oats biomass experiment for our ADV Cropping unit. Starting to see disease and potential potassium deficiency in some areas of the plots. Otherwise, coming along nicely! @SJB_Ag @Bec_Swift_ @AHagboom @JoelTheGinger @DarcyCobley @AJenko12

[Hennie Botha @henniebotha130]

Week 2 measurements of our oats biomass experiment for our ADV Cropping unit. Spread our first nitrogen application, 80 units on treatment 1 and 50 units on treatment 2 (split application). Plants at GS21-26. @JoelTheGinger @DarcyCobley @AJenko12 @AHagboom @SJB_Ag @Bec_Swift_

First day looking at our semester experiment for our third year ag unit Advanced Cropping, Researching the impact of split nitrogen applications vs single application on the final biomass of various oat varieties. @JoelTheGinger @AJenko12 @AHagboom @SJB_Ag @Bec_Swift_
