After a good conversation with @MouseAlert and his peers at @CSIRO we belive that the damage seen in our lupin trial was from RATS!. Shame we are done now with data collection it would of been good to monitor it further. @SJB_Ag@Bec_Swift_@DarlowRebecca
Mice⚠️ Any ideas out there why our broad leaf variety of lupins saw significantly less damage compared to the narrow leaf lupins?? Please comment your thoughts below! @Gemma13399017@SJB_Ag@Bec_Swift_
Statistical analysis has begun on our lupin trial testing a one off N application! Getting some help today from @SJB_Ag.6 varieties chosen can be seen comparing yields. We’re also looking at nodulation, interrow compaction and root length to name a few! @DarlowRebecca@Bec_Swift_
Final week of data collection for our lupin trials! Clear difference between varieties but not so much treatments. Walking through the crop we saw what appears to be mice damage? @Bec_Swift_@DarlowRebecca@SJB_Ag
This week in our luipins! Heaps of flowering going on and so many bees 🐝 🐝. We noticed that compaction levels were lower next to our plants and slightly higher between rows 🤔. How do you think the 1 x 100units/N will impact growth/yield?@SJB_Ag@Bec_Swift_@DarlowRebecca
Oats are looking good…
@Doc_Huddson looking pretty good too
Our semester experiment is on track and we are really starting to see the effects of nitrogen!
@SJB_Ag@Bec_Swift_
This weeks lupins measurements being taken! Seeing some differences between variety’s but nothing super obvious between treatments…. Stay tuned to find out🌱🐚 few snails around ://
For our final semester we’re taking an advanced cropping unit. We’re trialing the effects of using urea on non inoculated lupins. So far some interesting stuff happening. Today we applied a very generous 100 units of nitrogen! @Bec_Swift_@DarlowRebecca@SJB_Ag
