@brendan_cubs Jed has a washed bench guy blind spot. They gave Turner 6 mil plus 2.5 incentives. A 40 year old got this. I hate that they aren’t agressive building a bench when they can have their pick of the litter. They always pick up who is left over. Never works.

@SetupManKyle I still am questioning that Smith had to be included. Astros got cost controlled Paredes (an All Star) and Wesneski. Wonder if an OF like Caisse or Alcantara would have been possible. It’s been a good trade for both sides but we have to extend Tucker otherwise it looks silly.

Any other team acquiring Tucker for essentially 1 year - pushes further in and past the CB thresholds to lock in 90+ wins and the division. Instead we all know Bellinger isn’t staying.

@DavidHaugh For as much as Poles has said you build teams from the inside out - he has sure built from the outside in. Both lines are still a year away with a lot of work to do. All those picks next year are gonna be boring but badly needed.

@setupmanpod The young guys are going to bide their time. Like PCA had to - come up for cups of coffee and prove they can stick. Injuries always happen. These prospects aren’t slam dunks like 2015/16. We have organizational depth. Jed needs to find a star. I’d get Vlad.
