@susanslusser Do you have any insight into how Tony evaluates the players when considering the lineup? It feels like, specifically for the outfield, there are varying degrees to which he is patient with certain outfielders over other options. (Gilbert vs Cox, Brennan, Rodriguez, etc.)
@susanslusser@SplashHitPod What’s the temperature of the locker room? How are the veterans reacting to the start? Any sense on how the locker room is taking to Tony so far?
@NLabendeira Feels like sometimes this is also hard to evaluate because of camera angles on the broadcast. It would be nice if every ballpark was uniform and just did an over the head angle.
@EYDShow@iRotohead@PavlovicNBCS@giantstortureTM Harrison will start in the majors this year. Hicks, Verlander and Ray will all probably miss some time. What benefit comes from eliminating a starting option when they can let Harrison ramp back up in Triple A? He’s coming off a mid spring where he missed time due to illness.
@EYDShow@iRotohead@PavlovicNBCS@giantstortureTM You need as many starters as possible and you want to eliminate a guy before the season even starts. They literally had two healthy guys at one point and rushed Harrison back which contributed to his injury but go off.
@EYDShow@iRotohead@PavlovicNBCS@giantstortureTM He’s in the second year of a four year contract. I mean at the very least give him this year. Do you just not expect progress season to season for players? To give up after one year despite his production is insane.
@EYDShow@iRotohead@PavlovicNBCS@giantstortureTM You would think people would learn from last year. Harrison and Roupp will get their chance. Also, it’s not really like either of them have proven to consistently go 5+ innings.
@EYDShow@iRotohead@PavlovicNBCS@giantstortureTM This is hilariously short sided but okay. He was their best pitcher at the beginning of the year and gave the team something while everyone else was hurt. How do you expect someone to build up as a starter? Of course it’s going to take some time.
Mavs owner Patrick Dumont:
“If you look at the greats in the league, the people you and I grew up with — Jordan, Bird, Kobe, Shaq — they worked really hard, everyday with a singular focus to win. And if you don’t have that, it doesn’t work… You shouldn’t be apart of the Dallas Mavericks.”

I love how “being one of the highest paid players while competing for a championship in Baltimore” isn’t one of the options. Somehow shaming Burnes for taking the money when really the Orioles could also just pay him.
Giants and Orioles are the main two teams to sign Corbin Burnes
Now, does Corbin want to establish a legacy in Baltimore and help the team win a World Series, or does he want to return home and play for the San Francisco Giants and be one of the highest paid players in the MLB
The Phoenix Suns are another team that Jimmy Butler’s agent, Bernie Lee, has indicated in league circles that the six-time All-Star is open to as a destination while Miami listens to trade offers, sources tell ESPN, joining Dallas, Houston and Golden State.
“Almost everyone in the industry” believes the #Dodgers would be the heavy favorites to sign international free-agent RHP Roki Sasaki if he’s posted this winter, per @Ken_Rosenthal
@49ersSportsTalk They’re on the field all day. They’re also the only reason the Niners were in the game. It’s ridiculous to expect them to be able to be able to keep the energy up with 0 sustained drives by the offense.
