Today marks the sixth consecutive day of the sit-in protest outside the BMC administration where Khadija Baloch’s family continues to demand her safe release. Today,during a press conference Khadija’s father renewed his appeal to the authorities urging them to ensure her immediate return and allow her to appear in her examination scheduled for April 28. He further stated that if the authorities fail to take meaningful action the family will be compelled to take stronger steps, which will be announced during the forthcoming press conference.

BWF demand the safe and immediate return of all missing Baloch women along with Khadija Baloch without any further delay. Their safe recovery is a matter of urgent humanitarian concern and we call upon the authorities to take immediate action to ensure justice, transparency and accountability.

Enforced disappearances of Baloch women are no longer rare, they are becoming routine

HRCB is gravely concerned over this expansion of state repression. After decades of targeting men, state forces are now systematically targeting women.

Our report documents 22 cases (2025–2026):
8 victims remain missing
7 were released
2 are currently jailed
2 were subjected to forced confessions
1 was killed in custody
2 cases remain unconfirmed

Women, including students, a teacher, a nurse, and housewives, have been abducted. Even a pregnant woman was not spared.

Victims are disappeared, coerced into false “terrorism” confessions, and then paraded through propaganda on TV and social media to justify these abuses.

This is a clear violation of fundamental rights and international law. The world must not remain silent as Pakistan continues these practices.

Mahjabeen Baloch, a 25 year old student of Library Science at the University of Balochistan, was forcibly disappeared on May 29, 2025 from the Civil Hospital Quetta hostel by CTD personnel. She is a polio patient and has now spent 311 days in illegal detention without charge or trial. Nasreen Baloch, a 15 year old student, was abducted on November 22, 2025 from Hub Chowki and has remained disappeared for 134 days.

Rahima Baloch, 22, was taken on December 9, 2025 in Dalbandin during a raid along with her brother. Both remain missing for 117 days without being presented before any court. Hani Dilwash was forcibly disappeared on December 20, 2025 from Hub Chowki while in the final month of pregnancy. She has now spent 106 days in illegal custody, raising serious concerns for her life and the safety of her unborn child.

Hair Nisa Baloch, a 17 year old student, was also taken on December 20, 2025 along with Hani Dilwash. She has been held in enforced disappearance for 106 days, denied access to her family and any legal process. These are young women and girls whose only crime is their identity, now facing unlawful detention and possible abuse.

These cases show a clear pattern of targeting Baloch women and minors through enforced disappearances. This practice violates international human rights law and demands urgent attention. Immediate release, accountability, and an end to these abuses are essential.
