I replied to this but wanted to highlight the errors in this doubling down. Systematic sampling is not random sampling and Small has specifically written about the problems with applying quant logics to qual sampling (How Many Cases Do I Need?). 1/

It's exciting to see my work featured by @CBELifescied, but I'll admit it was even more exciting to hear my work was cited in a presentation today at #SABER2024! I am so lucky to be part of such a vibrant and supportive research community!
Notable—unlike other schools, Wesleyan Uni says it will not clear an encampment so long as it remains non-violent:
"This morning you can find pro-Palestinian protestors camped out…as long as we all reject violence, we have opportunities to listen and to learn from one another."
I cannot currently attend the protests to divest at UMN due to other responsibilities. But I fully support our students and my colleagues who are expressing their demands. True justice involves community ownership over public services so we should be listening to our students 1/4
Student evaluations are a great way to learn that you're the best teacher they ever had despite being the worst teacher in existence, and that you under, over, and appropriately prepare for each class.
