The graphic is correct. I would call a spade a spade. Likely Russian, Serbian, perhaps even Greek elements want it characterized that way to harm Albanian interests. To me this has all the markings of a orchestrated disinformation campaign.

6. There are multiple disinformation campaigns, there attempts to hijack the protests. Here is what they cannot do: Stop the awaken spirit of the Albanian people thirsty for true democracy, a new political class, a fair system for all. That's what the protest is about.

1. Reading some complete non-sense in intl media about protests in Albania. It's either lazy journalism or simply malicious. And don't get me started on social media. Huge dissinformation campaign going on. It's NOT about Kushner, Trump, Greece, Jews & wtf else. Let me explain.

5. Greek media on the other hand is clearly loving this pushing narratives that are lunatic. First and foremost, there are NO F-ING greeks in that area. Vlora the heartland of Albanian nationalism. We go there to mark our independence. Greece has no business getting involved.

3. Most protesters are not against foreign investment. They are against the lack of transparency and suspicious approval, illegal changes to legislation and just could not take one more shoving down their throats by the PM and his deeply corrupt government.

2. Zvernec is simply straw that broke camel's back. Albanians have been robbed by political and oligarchic class for decades. They fix/buy elections. They make laws to enrich themselves. They take land and not pay market value (or anything). That's what the protest is about.

Zvërnec was simply the last straw after a series of scandals. Also I don't exclude that misinformation and malign actors are trying to take over. But the spirit of the protest is pure and patriotic. And yes Mr. Rama. Albania is for Albanians first and foremost.

The intl press is getting the coverage wrong: Protests are happening because Albania is a place where politicians and oligarchs feel they own the country and don't need to consult its people. It's not about Kushner, no matter how grabbing it sounds. It's about lack of democracy.

i wish post covid “discovery” of albania never happened. it did nothing but price out the locals (+ albanians from outside of albania) and brought foreign investments that are ruining its beautiful nature

Everywhere in 'Western' Balkans seeing the same thing. Force the local youths to emigrate by making lives unbearable. Bring in cheap labor from south Asia and sub-saharan Africa. Declare 'success' due to increasing 'tourist' numbers. Enrich the oligarchs and corrupt govts.
