@leslie_bern I was very involved in my local NaNo chapter until the grooming cover up came out last year. I resigned and have watched as leadership destroyed this org . I cannot describe the level of schaudenfreude I have over this blowing up overnight and all their bad takes being exposed.
@RTRFND Especially because of co-morbidities. But as you said, its the no-med crowd. My sensory issues are independent of my mood disorder but my executive dysfunction is a lesser known component of it. An ADHD diagnosis wouldn’t be right for me. Autism up in the air. It’s so nuanced.
Just a quick reminder for my TX friends that while Beto winning the governorship would be great for TX, your state and local reps matter even more. Else we’ll see what we’re seeing on the national level. Little power lies with the executive branch.
@leslie_bern 3. Being diligent about a schedule & respecting it. You don’t have to write daily, but knowing your output & hurdles, can help you set a realistic timeline.
4. Support! I do NaNoWriMo every year. Accountability & community helps with realistic goals and how you treat yourself
Not even the slightest bit surprised. I hated my time at CHHS. Had some great teachers there but that could not make up for the absolute shittiness of some of the students and community.
