Une conférence sur le Dialogue Afrique-Caraïbes autour de la justice réparatrice s’est tenue les 2 et 3 juin 2025 sur le campus Future Africa de l’Université de Pretoria. Cet événement a été organisé et accueilli dans le cadre d’une collaboration entre le Centre des droits de l’homme de l’Université de Pretoria, la Chaire de la Fondation nationale sud-africaine pour la recherche (NRF) en droit constitutionnel international, l’Université des Bahamas, l’Université de Goma, le Forum des juges et juristes d’Afrique, ainsi que le Comité national du Bahamas sur les réparations.
La conférence a réuni des universitaires autour de l’un des sujets les plus actuels et controversés du siècle : la justice réparatrice pour l’esclavage transatlantique des Africains et sa perpétuation à travers le colonialisme.

A conference on the African-Caribbean Dialogue on Justice through Reparations was held on 2 and 3 June 2025 at the University of Pretoria’s Future Africa campus. The event was organised and hosted as a collaboration between University of Pretoria’s Centre for Human Rights and South African National Research Foundation Chair in International Constitutional Law, the University of The Bahamas, Université de Goma, Africa Judges and Jurists Forum and the Bahamas National Reparations Committee.
The conference brought together scholars on one of the most current and controversial topics of the century, namely, reparatory justice for the transatlantic enslavement of Africans and its continuity through colonialism.
