In light of media reports today about arrests made in Crewe, UK, please note that the organisation that goes by the name of "Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light (AROPL)" has no connection whatsoever with the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
The Deputy Mayor of Heidelberg, Germany, Stefanie Jansen, had the honour of meeting His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad earlier this week.
She informed His Holiness of anti-racism measures and interfaith efforts being taken in her city. Offering support for such initiatives, His Holiness advised her to encourage others to interact with Muslims, speak with them and hold meetings with them to curb anti-Islam prejudice.
He explained that Muslims living in Europe should love and work for the betterment of their homeland: “Since we are living in this country, we love the country, and we are doing our best for the betterment of our country.”
His Holiness also spoke about the role of politicians in creating peace in the world: “Not only anti-racism, but you have to give awareness to the politicians that they should work honestly and try to create justice in this society...without justice, you cannot do anything.”
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (aba) urged Muslim nations - particularly Arab countries and Iran - to find a path towards reconciliation.
His Holiness concluded by praying for peace in the world and calling on members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to pray for peace and an end to all forms of injustice and cruelty in the world.

Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aa) once narrated a story about a man who was tired of this world, due to hardships or dissatisfaction, and desired to leave it. He would walk on the streets constantly lamenting, “O Allah, I do not like Your world.”
One day, the man was sitting quietly, no longer complaining. When passers-by asked why he was quiet now, he replied, “Today, Allah answered me and said, ‘Then go to a world that you do like.’ And I had no reply.”
Life is not something to be escaped when it becomes heavy. It is something to be understood, struggled through, and ultimately overcome. The man had understood his reality and this anecdote reminds us of the importance of accepting God’s decree. However, that does not mean that we abandon living.
The Holy Quran reminds us that our existence is intentional:
“Did you then think that We had created you without purpose, and that you would not be brought back to Us?” (Surah al-Mu’minun, Ch.23: V.116)
This verse firmly rejects the idea that human life is meaningless or disposable. Even when a person feels forgotten or exhausted, God has not lost sight of them. Life continues because there is still purpose unfolding in ways we cannot yet see.
Allah states in the Quran:
“And I have not created the Jinn and the men but that they worship Me.” (Surah adh-Dhariyat, Ch.51: V.57)
Worship goes beyond prayer mats and mosques. Worship is when you live it while adhering to divine teachings. It is reflected in patience when life feels unfair, or being truthful when lying would be easier, and in kindness when bitterness feels justified.
“Surely, Allah suffers not the reward of those who do good, to be lost.” (Surah at-Taubah, Ch.9: V.120)
Nothing sincere is wasted; not our tears, not effort and not quiet endurance. Living, even in the hardest situations, allows those unseen efforts to matter more in fact.
One of the profound reasons to be living is the opportunity to serve others. The Promised Messiah, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) taught that “true sympathy and sincere compassion for mankind,” is a way to “acquire the pleasure of Allah Almighty.”

Huzoor-e-Anwar (aa) provided the following guidance:
“Please note that for the acceptance of prayers, you should abundantly invoke blessings upon the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa). This, too, is necessary, but with understanding.
Allah the Almighty states in the Holy Quran:
وَابْتَغُوا إِلَيْهِ الْوَسِيلَةَ
“‘And seek out ways of approach unto Him.’ (Surah al-Ma’idah, Ch.5: V.36)
“For attaining the nearness of Allah the Exalted, there can be nothing greater than the holy personage of the Holy Prophet (sa).
Expounding upon this subject, the Promised Messiah (as) states:
“‘On one occasion, it so happened that I remained very much occupied with calling down blessings on the Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, for a long time, for I believed that the ways leading to God are very fine and cannot be discovered except through the agency of the Holy Prophet, as Allah says too:
وَابْتَغُوا إِلَيْهِ الْوَسِيلَةَ
“‘[‘And seek the way of approach unto Him.’ (Surah al-Ma’idah, Ch.5: V.36)].
“‘After a time, I saw, in a vision, that two water carriers came and entered into my house, one by the outer entrance and the other by the inner entrance, carrying on their shoulders water-skins full of divine light, and they said:
هٰذَا بِمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ
“‘[‘This is on account of the blessings you invoked upon Muhammad’].’ (Haqiqatul-Wahi, Ruhani Khazain, Vol. 22, p. 131, footnote)
“As for wanting to involve the Khalifa of the Time to pray for you, that is your own prerogative. After all, a person also asks their close relatives to pray for them. The Holy Prophet (sa) himself said to the Companions, ‘Help me with your prayers.’ (Sahih Muslim, Kitab as-salah, Bab fadhli s-sujudi wa l-haththi ‘alayhi)
“Even though he was in no need of this, as he himself is the ultimate means of approach [wasilah] to God.”

“Regrettably, on the very day Parliament passed a bill to create a commission for minority protection, its members were worried that Ahmadis might somehow benefit from it. Instead of condemning human rights abuses against Ahmadis, political parties competed in anti-Ahmadi hate rhetoric — a chilling consensus that in Pakistan, the state doesn’t see Ahmadis as citizens, or even as human.”
Salute to @reema_omer for speaking with such clarity and courage, as always.
Flag raised, spirits high!
