Doctors without Borders is outraged by the repeated killings of our staff in #Gaza and calls for an immediate halt on attacks of medical personnel, humanitarian workers and civilians.
“We have nearly half a million people in the north, at least 100,000 of them are displaced & on the move, we've not been able to get food aid to them for almost 2 weeks"
@GazaUNRWA to @CNN on the devastating situation in northern #Gaza, amid rising violence & lack of basic aid
UN Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory:
#Israel has perpetrated a concerted policy to destroy #Gaza’s healthcare system as part of a broader assault on Gaza, committing war crimes and the crime against humanity of extermination.

“This feels like the first time having to advocate the fact that children are actually children.”
@1james_elder, UNICEF Spokesperson, reports amid alarming scenes of injured children in a hospital in Gaza.
A ceasefire is needed NOW.
Months of deteriorating conditions caused by ongoing war and siege have fuelled the spread of disease across the #GazaStrip@UNRWA and partners are ready to roll out a #polio vaccination campaign for over 640,000 children, but humanitarian pauses will be critical.
Children in the West Bank including East Jerusalem are not spared.
According to @UNICEFchief@UNICEF:
- Every two days a Palestinian child is killed in the West Bank.
- More than 140 Palestinian children have been killed since the war started just over 9 months ago.
- This is a huge increase of 250% in comparison to the first 9 months before the war.
These are not numbers. These are children.
Lives cut short.
In the past months, there’s been a surge of Israeli Security Forces operations in the area + confrontations with Palestinian Armed groups including & especially in camps for Palestine Refugees.
A child is a child, they have nothing to do with wars and conflicts.
They must be protected at all times.
#Gaza
4 schools hit in the last 4 days.
Since the war began, two thirds of @UNRWA schools in Gaza have been hit, some were bombed out, many severely damaged.
Schools have gone from safe places of #education & hope for children to overcrowded shelters and often ending up a place of death & misery.
Nine months in, under our watch, the relentless, endless killings, destruction and despair continue.
Gaza is no place for children.
The blatant disregard of international humanitarian law cannot become the new normal (read more in essay👇).
Ceasefire now before we lose what is left of our common humanity. #CeasefireNOW

A direct consequence of the war in #Gaza: children can spend 6-8 hours a day collecting water & food, often carrying heavy weights & walking long distances.
Children are losing their childhood because of this war. This needs to stop now.
#WorldDayAgainstChildLabour#CeasefireNow
Nearly 3,000 children are at risk of death from malnutrition in Gaza.
Hospitals are destroyed, treatments have stopped and supplies are scant.
UNICEF stands ready to provide nutrition supplies, but safe humanitarian access and a ceasefire are needed NOW.https://t.co/TyHHo3xVXI
People in #Gaza are starving.
🛑 Over 2.1 million people across the #GazaStrip face crisis levels of food insecurity or worse.
🛑 Half the population is struggling with catastrophic hunger.
🛑 Children are dying of dehydration & malnutrition.
Famine is imminent. #CeasefireNOW
The imminent famine in the northern part of Gaza is an entirely manmade disaster.
I repeat my call for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire.
We must act now to prevent the unthinkable, the unacceptable, the unjustifiable.
Staggering. The number of children reported killed in just over 4 months in #Gaza is higher than the number of children killed in 4 years of wars around the world combined.
This war is a war on children. It is a war on their childhood and their future.
#ceasefireNow for the sake of children in #Gaza
The 100th child killed in the West Bank since Oct 7 was "wearing his football kit and carrying his school bag when he was shot in the head and killed" by Israeli forces. “It was an execution,” says his father. https://t.co/a30myfUiGm
"Israel's onslaught against Gaza is "probably the highest kill rate of any military killing anybody since the Rwandan Genocide of 1994."
- Andrew Gilmour, UN's Assistant Secretary-General for Human Rights from 2016-19
🛑 51% of missions planned by @UNRWA and humanitarian partners to deliver aid and undertake assessments to areas in north📍#Gaza this year were denied access by Israeli authorities.
Food insecurity north of Wadi Gaza has reached an extremely critical state #AccessDenied
