All ready to head up to @jodrellbank later to give a Lovell lecture... but first some final year project vivas... they're on solar physics so I can get away with the dress right?
In 2 WEEKS, join us for a collaborative Lovell lecture @jodrellbank as @AMBroomhall discusses how by observing the notes that the Sun plays, we can work out various things about the solar interior βοΈπΆ

Today is the first day of @NAM21Bath but my 8yo, who hasn't finished school yet, has been told to isolate... luckily her 11yo sister has finished for the summer and has kindly offered to become teacher for the day so i can still attend and enjoy!

𧲠Bogdan Hnat @warwickuni explores magnetic field topologies of structures in turbulent solar wind. Bogdan finds ~35% are actively evolving & carry strong currents - important for energy transfer in solar wind!

We are celebrating 25 years since the launch of SOHO. Happy Birthday!
A big "THANK YOU" to the individuals and teams that worked and continue to work on making our mission a success and to all the SOHO fans for the encouragement and support during the last quarter of a century!
We have just finished another session on a fascinating topic that I wasn't particularly familiar with ... the formation of planets by @r_d_alexander and we finish this afternoon with a session on careers and fellowships
This morning we've heard all about solar and stellar flares from Eduard Kontar and now we're moving on to Machine learning for image and light curve classification by @WarwickAstro's David Armstrong... looking forward to giving it a go myself!
This afternoon at the summer school we have perhaps one of the most important sessions... wellbeing... it's a supervisor free zone so I'm staying out of the way but I hope the participants find it useful!
This morning we started with a fantastic talk about magnetosphere from @cm_jackman, next up we have @DrJoVian, who will talk about planetary atmospheres. So lucky to have the opportunity to go back to school and learn about science outside my research area!
This afternoon we are learning about Gaussian Processes with @AirborneGrain... at the moment we're working through an example using a jupyter notebook!
This morning we started with @AlineVidotto giving an excellent lecture about star-planet interactions and habitability, next up is Heather Cegla from @WarwickAstro, who will talk about solar and stellar magnetism
