The Children, Education and Home Affairs Scrutiny Panel questioned the Minister for Children and Families, Connétable Richard Vibert, in a Quarterly Public Hearing.
During the Hearing:
• A commitment was made to find long-term funding for the Move More toddler play sessions. Funding has been secured for 2025 via the Chief Minister.
• It was confirmed the Assistant Minister will lead on the Government's Play Strategy. The Panel was pleased hear there would be more dedicated political oversight of it.
• The Minister also confirmed he was happy to look at moving the Springfield playground away from the road. Money has been allocated to refurbish the playground.
• The Panel heard that the Safeguarding Partnership Board is due to complete more work on online safety for children and that more resources will be allocated to CAMHS.
• The Panel was told that funding had been allocated to refurbish Le Squez Youth Centre but that, in the Budget proposals put forward by Government, no redevelopment would happen until 2028.

The Public Accounts Committee will be holding a Public Hearing with the Acting Chief Officer of Customer and Local Services (CLS) today from 1pm - 2.30pm.
The purpose of the Hearing will be to question the Acting Chief Officer of CLS about the Committee's review into how the Government handles and learns from customer feedback and complaints.

Today at 3:30pm, the Economic and International Affairs Scrutiny Panel will hold a Public Hearing regarding the ferry service tender.
The Panel will question the Minister for Sustainable Economic Development, Deputy Kirsten Morel, about the process.
