@arbischoff I think I have seen this scenario in very sick prems. Would guess the baby has biventricular dysfunction and relatively high SVR ( leading to pulmonary haemorrhage) and acute RV decompression.Although the RV looks worse on eyeball view SVR is still > than PVR and PDA L to R.
@DrColeFletch@NeoResearch_Net Thank you for sharing your lovely interview. At RHC Glasgow we recently introduced antenatal conversations between women, whose baby will almost certainly be admitted to NICU, and our feeding advisers. Hugely positive feedback so far. Knowledge enables!
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: No wonder jnr doctors & nurses don’t feel valued. Not everyone is “feeling poor”equally @bankofengland . What gvmnt has done to their pay 👇 is an absolute disgrace
RT if u think @SteveBarclay@Jeremy_Hunt@RishiSunak should #PayRestoration & save our NHS
@dr_montasser @afif_elKhuffash @CardioNeo@BrianKingNeo@Atul_Monash@NEJM@EBNEO@ESPR_ESN What is encouraging is the feasibility and safety of early application of cerebral NIRS in this large study of extremely preterm infants. There is much more to learn about the optimal use of this additional monitoring!
@andrewbru2002 Disgraceful. Completely fails to mention the above average hours worked, that career progression is not guaranteed (nor is job security) and the massive student accrued over for a typically 6 year degree.
@HUGrhc@RHCGlasgow …… and became the key to fusing medical and surgical neonatal services at RHC! A fantastic nurse, advocate for patients and their families and a great colleague. Morag you will be missed.
This clinical trial of early cerebral NIRS has now closed with 1600 infants < 28 weeks, recruited internationally! Delighted to have been able to participate at NICU, RHC, Glasgow along with University hospital, Wishaw. Looking forward to the results!
