April is community college month, and the CCBA is celebrating the powerful role your institutions play in shaping the futures of your students and communities. Across the nation community colleges are making an impact with accessibility, diversity and commitment to excellence.
@usedgov@emzgallaher It seems the student loan program needs to be completely overhauled now. It doesn't make sense to forgive student loan debt (though I am in favor of this) and continue this predatory program. Banks and private lenders have profited and should bear some of the burden.

@ddbragg@braggassociates@CCBA_Network@MCCACSS One of the other factors in educating enough nurses to fill the shortage is the need for nursing faculty. Another advantage of allowing the BSN: many of these graduates will go on to the masters in nursing, and become faculty, addressing future shortages in Michigan and the U.S.
@HigherEdSurge I've read this article several times and keep coming back to the question, "If we know community college baccalaureates are effective at providing baccalaureate opportunities, why aren't we doing more?" There is room and need for multiple pathways to the Middle Class.
@ddbragg@SVCCollege@IvyRuthL@NewAmericaEd I'm tempted to have tee shirts made for our upcoming Community College Baccalaureate Association conference "How could you not?"
