Unfortunately I think it's too late... If history teaches us anything it's that at this point the country will have to experience significant hardship before anyone in government has the guts to do what is needed.
America needs to be prepared for something worse than 1929. I hope this is not the case however, our government is unwilling to compromise on any legislation unless it's self serving...
