I’ve covered three Presidents in a row who acquiesced to Turkish government propagandists and refused to call the Armenian genocide what it was: a genocide.
Good to see President Biden take this long overdue step. https://t.co/jOa5sQxM80
Recognition of the Armenian genocide is long overdue, and I applaud President Biden for this announcement. It is important for all of us to look honestly at history to make sure such atrocities never happen again.
BREAKING NEWS: @POTUS has recognized the #ArmenianGenocide.
"We remember the lives of all those who died in the Ottoman-era Armenian genocide and recommit ourselves to preventing such an atrocity from ever again occurring."

Thank you, @POTUS, for recognizing the systematic killing of an estimated 1.5 million Armenians for what it was — genocide.
The U.S. remained shamefully silent on the #ArmenianGenocide for too long. Today, we are finally on the right side of history. https://t.co/9QVPEMch3H
I commend @POTUS and his administration’s decision to formally recognize the Armenian Genocide.
It is long overdue to call this atrocity what it was — genocide.
In our effort for a better world we must be clear about the horrors of the past.

We still have no idea exactly how many Armenian POWs are in captivity in Azerbaijan or Azeri-occupied territory. It is long past time for the international community to investigate the war crimes committed by Azerbaijan's military, and for those responsible to be held to account.
The law firm Venable (800+ attorneys) has terminated its contract with Turkey for $270,000 a year.
Under @ANCA pressure, Mercury Public Affairs, DLA Piper, Greenberg Traurig, and Livingston Group have previously cut ties with Turkey and Azerbaijan.
