Kappil Beach is a stunning, relatively untouched coastal destination located roughly 7 to 8 kilometres north of the main Varkala Cliff area. Its defining, rare geographical feature is a narrow coastal road that cuts directly between the crashing turquoise waves of the Arabian Sea on one side and the perfectly serene, jade waters of the Edava-Nadayara backwater lake on the other.

The Purushothapatnam Lift Irrigation Scheme, built by MEIL Group, lifts Godavari river water into the Polavaram Left Main Canal before the Polavaram project is fully ready.

This system helps supply water for farming and drinking needs in the dry Uttarandhra region. The pumped water flows through cross-drainage structures and reaches the Tandava regulator near Payakaraopeta.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu performed Jala Harathi, releasing water to Anakapalli district, benefiting 2.87 lakh acres of farmland and ensuring safe drinking water.

అనకాపల్లి జిల్లాలో 1.50 లక్షల ఎకరాల ఆయకట్టుకు నీరు

ఎడమ కాలువ నిర్మాణానికి రూ.4,192 కోట్ల ఖర్చు చేసిన రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం

అనకాపల్లి వద్ద ఏలేరు కాలువతో పాటు జిల్లాలోని 110 చెరువులను నింపేలా జల వనరుల శాఖ ప్రణాళిక

గోదావరి జలాలతో పుష్కర ఆయకట్టు పరిధిలో 1.48 లక్షల ఎకరాలు, ఏలేరు కింద 80 వేల ఎకరాలు, పంపా కింద 12 వేల ఎకరాలు, తాండవ, వరహా, మామిడి గెడ్డ ఆయకట్టు పరిధిలో ఉన్న 46,620 ఎకరాల స్థిరీకరణ

23.44 టీఎంసీలతో సాగు, తాగు నీటితో పాటు విశాఖ, అనకాపల్లి జిల్లాల్లోని పారిశ్రామిక అవసరాలకు వినియోగం

Today is a historic day. The industrial ecosystem of Vizag, and specifically the data centers, will get water from the Polavaram Left Main Canal. The people of Visakhapatnam need not have any apprehension about water availability. While all five proposed data centres together would require only around 5 TMC, the scheme we are implementing can deliver this and more.

Today, we have commenced bringing Godavari water through the canal. With the completion of Polavaram, water will flow to Visakhapatnam by gravity, ensuring long-term water security. We will ensure that development and water security go hand in hand. Visakhapatnam’s growth will not come at the cost of its water needs.
