To support a just energy transition for Pakistan, the @ADG_HQ must cancel the Jamshoro project debt, retire the plant and repurpose it for renewables.

This is one of the least legally complex opportunities for early coal retirement in the region – a chance the ADB must seize.

Despite its no-coal policy, the @ADB_HQ supported the #Jamshoro #coal plant, which is a huge burden for Pakistan’s economy, people & ecosystems.
