This has been an exciting couple of weeks! Hooding ceremony in NC, to SD IRACDA retreat, and heading to DC for ATS. Sprinkled on top was the final study from my PhD being published! I have so many new questions about the role of circulating metabolites like Vitamin D in lung fxn!

Hearing this podcast with my undergrad advisor Dr. Alberto Rascón Jr. (Dr. R) took me straight back to hearing his seminar for the first time. Not only is he a great scientist and educator, he is a truly amazing person.
We stand in support of our peer graduate students from the microbiology and immunology department, who are demanding a change in a qualifying exam that has many issues-especially in regards to equity (see below). We hope the UNC community can work together to move this forward!
